The 90s were a monumental time for music, especially hip hop. And one of the greatest groups to emerge from this golden era was a Queens quartet by the name of A Tribe Called Quest. Led by master lyricists Q-Tip and Phife Dawg, the enigmatic Jarobi White, and their DJ, Ali Shaheed Muhammed, Tribe kicked it with Stance in 2016 for two highly sought-after releases, paying homage to the crew’s classic debut, “People’s Instinctive Travels and Paths of Rhythm,” and their breakout third album, 1993’s “Midnight Marauders.”
